A little talk

Amond waits In his office surrounded by stacks of unattended papers and playing paddle ball as he waits for Erwin and his bodyguard to arrive. He didn't mind having his body guard on the premise the kid was from a wealthy family after all, but he wanted to get things straight, vampires usually had about as much regard for the rules as he himself, and he didn't want any of the students hurt.

[Razgriz]

Erwin steps knocks on the headmasters office door awaiting permission to come inside. He's only talked to the headmaster once in passing but he seemed like a decent sort of fellow. Then again his uncle seemed like a decent fellow too until his hired goons gutted his mother and father in their bed. The only person he can trust is the woman standing beside him everyone else could be on his uncle's payroll for all he knew. He lets out a deep breath and collects himself. "Sir may I come in?"

Ymira says nothing, she simply looks forward towards the door. Though he knows from experience that she has two wicked blades just a centimetre from her finger tips should things take a turn for the worst.

[Admin]

Just a minute I can't rest until these papers have been diligently ignored" he jokes and gets up to set them in a box he will probably  never open again, then sits back down chuckling to himself. "Come in" he says. Of course unlike Erwins uncle the headmaster was absolutely renowned by humans and wizards alike, said to be one of the most powerful mages of this age he has layed waste to ancient cults and a vampire army that attempted to take over the wizard continent, in short he could lay waste to them in the blink of an eye, or so the stories go

[Razgriz]

The door opened with a creak as the duo walked into the room. One looked  anxious and ready to leave while the other was calm and relaxed. "You called for me sir?" Erwin stood before the man's desk with his hands behind his back. From his posture you can tell that he's ready to bolt at a moment's notice. After a close shave in the nearby town he hasn't dared spend more time with anyone longer than he had to. Ymira saw this and made a soft almost inaudible "tsk" when she noticed Erwins obvious desire to be away from someone so strong. She isn't that shocked after the run in in town but still, she'll need to teach him to better mask his true emotions and intent.

With a smile and a bow Ymira greets Amond. "Its an honour to meet you sir. May I introduce Erwin la Jaeger. We're very grateful to join in your most exquisite academy. It was my lords final wish for young Jaeger here. We're both in your debt."

Erwin stammers for just a moment before bowing as well. "Yes, I'm honoured to be here. Especially with one so renowned running the school."

[Admin]

"I appreciate your kind words." Amond nods reading the two of them like a book "don't be so skittish boy, I'm not some thug, and your uncle's wealth and political influence is... Quaint at best." Amond said waving the boys concerns aside he chuckles at his own statement "funny when the son of a fisherman can come to say that" he thought to himself and continued "now onto business, what are you going to need to protect him in the future?" He asks the vampire

[Razgriz]

"I get full access to him twenty-four seven, he never leaves my side. A room far away from the other students would be preferable. Anyone who comes asking for him is to be sent away and he isn't Erwin to you or anyone else anymore. His names Erin O'Donnell and he comes from an island far to the west. If possible I'd like to see your illusion teacher, try and have them change his hair colour to something less distinctive of the Jaeger family. If we can get all that no one should be the wiser to who he is." She says quite matter of factly as she leans against the wall. She crosses her arms and studies Amond. Isn't easy to manipulate via flattery, she'll certainly remember that.

Erwins voice is low when he speaks. His eyes still haven't left the ground. "I didn't think the kindly old breadmaker in town was an assassin trying to kill me either. Or their twelve year old assistant. I took a bullet in the chest because I wasn't cautious so forgive me sir for not walking in here expecting the man from all the legends to be as nice of a person as they say he is."

[Admin]

"I'm not asking you too kid" he says kindly to Erwin "I'm asking you to understand he has nothing I want or need if you must think in such callous  terms"  He turns to the body guard and nods "oh gods this will require paper work, ah well I'm going to put Sammantha on the job as your more immediate contact." He says 'and your requests are granted, I'll be expecting great things from you Mr Erwin, and you yumi will need a cover or he'll stick out like a sore thumb"

[Razgriz]

She nods already knowing a convincing enough cover story. Seems this legend is far more cooperative than she'd thought he'd be."Of course. The name Yumi should work in case they may have heard of me as well. I can be the boys older sister who was banished along with him because of my vampirism. I live with him because I don't have anywhere else to go. Sounds believable enough, other than the bit of mystery surrounding him ,which will fade in time, I think things should be fine. I appreciate you're cooperation. Come now Erin, your training has yet to begin and there is a long road ahead of us." She says as she pushes off the wall and looks to the door.

Erwin stares at the headmaster for a moment unsure whether to believe in his luck or to believe this is another trick. Ultimately he lets out a small sigh and shows the tiniest bit of a smile. "Thank you for the hospitality sir. Maybe the legends weren't wrong about you after all."

[Mayhjeen]

(can I just add myself in hear and we can say it was earlier that day?)

(I think this is happening when Erwin and Ymira first arrived at the school. So yeah you should be able to join in here.)

(Yeah we  can have them meet the professors and older students)

[Mayhjeen]

Mayhjeen waves to the passing two "Hello Erw.....Erin ,hello Erin's meatshield "He says and walks into Amond's office "They're to newbies ?"

[Admin]

"Yeah take em two Sam, she'll handle them" Amond says barely looking up from a book he's reading. He trusted Maj more or less and he definitely trusted the wizard bear Sammantha to handle their situation well enough

[Mayhjeen]

"Okay silverwand I'll be right on it " He says blatantly lying and sits down "You have any coffee or anything ?"

[Razgriz]

Now it was Ymira and Erwins turn to be legitimately confused. They looked from the headmaster to the professor. They spoke in unison "Wizard bear?" Never before had either of them heard of such a creature. Not even in legends, now this they had to see for themselves.

[Admin]

Amond slides him some coffee and chuckles at the children's reactions wondering what they're expecting "now get a move on."

[Mayhjeen]

"Yes , a wizard bear....its like a bear but with magic...she's pretty cool , a bit boring at times " Mayhjeen says "Wait you two are still here ?"

[Razgriz]

Ymira stopped being a fan of the professors attitude a few minutes ago. "Yes sir we are still here. I'm glad your eyes are working well enough to see us. We would go to this Samantha person ourselves if we knew where she was."

[Admin]

Amond snaps his fingers and majs chair flies into the hall dumping him on the ground, "get a move on I ain't paying you by the hour Asaryien" Amond chuckles

[Mayhjeen]

"You don't pay me at all "Mayhjeen replies with a disconteneted look on his face "Oh fuck you Amond you spilled my coffee everywhere ......Eh someone else can clean that up "

[Razgriz]

"Thank you for your hospitality headmaster Amond." Erwin says quickly as he bows to the legendary hero before quickly following after the Professor with Ymira right on his heels. "Have you known the headmaster fore very long? You seem like old friends."

[Mayhjeen]

"I have , I've know him since I was little , I come from the same town as him , I met him when he was in his early thirties or so she had stopped by town to meet his uncle or something , I though he was a crazy grizzled cook ,he thought i was an idiot upstart kid . However when I was out on a fishing trip with my older cousin a very very very large cod vicously attacked our boat and my cousin drowned , Amond heard what was happening and ran over to  help me ,and found me sitting next to the dead cod ,which was being eaten by my.....already dead cousin . He knew the towns people would send me to the authorities for using what was at the time "An illegal dark magic " so he took me in ,I was part of a few adventures of his until a spell of his went wrong and  a bolt of lighting connected with my back putting me in a wheelchair for several years until my muscles would allow me to walk again .

.   I was angry at him ,didn't talk to him for a few years until he eventually came up to my doorstep in a car that to this day was about the most glamorous ride I'd ever seen . He told me he had been hired to become headmaster at a school and asks if I wished to work there as a professor . I said no ,punched him in the jaw. so he shot me with about twenty stunning spells and brough me here unconcious...." He explains as he stops walking and points to an office down the hall "That's where you want to go"

[Admin]

(I hate to put the kibosh on your story but silver wand is 20 years older than Maj... Also the academy has been around for a few centuries)

[Razgriz]

Ymira let's out a laugh at the explanation. She may have misjudged this professor. He's starting to grow on her now. "Just punched him in the face huh? Gotta admit I like how you roll wish we had a few more of you at the battle of Blackreach, little lesser known insurrection just a few months ago on the Korden isle. We had a bunch of noble guards who couldn't tell their asses from their elbows. While the insurgency were trained fighters. Only me and this little one made it out because he was sent here just a day before and because I cut my way out of there myself."

[Mayhjeen]

"Blackreach eh ? I believe I've heard of that , they said it was a total disaster , but they also said no one had survived "He says with a intrigued expression "I believe , the nobles sent another force there a few weeks ago ,decimated the insurgents " He says "I suppose I could ask for the story another time though ,as we seem to have arrived"
